Dávka is not a medical device
Dávka is a personal journal and daily routine companion (general wellness) for adults who take a GLP-1 or GIP/GLP-1 medicine prescribed by their doctor, or who are starting such treatment. It helps you keep your own records in one place: dose day, injection site, food, drink, how you feel and your measurements. You can set reminders and review, export or show your entries to your doctor.
Dávka is not a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition.
What Dávka does not do
- It does not calculate, suggest, convert or recommend doses, and it does not decide when to take, skip or stop a medicine. You enter all values yourself, and the app never pre-fills them.
- It does not assess symptoms or measurements and never tells you whether something is normal.
- It gives no medical, pharmaceutical or nutritional advice.
- It does not help you obtain or buy medicines.
Why it is not a medical device
Under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, software is a medical device if its manufacturer intends it for a medical purpose, such as diagnosing, monitoring or treating a disease (Article 2(1)). Software intended for lifestyle and well-being purposes is not a medical device (Recital 19). Dávka is designed in line with guidance MDCG 2019-11 so that it only stores, displays and exports your data and never assesses it.
Your doctor decides about your treatment
Your doctor always decides about your dose, its timing, missed doses and stopping a medicine. Before using a medicine, read its patient leaflet and discuss the steps with your doctor or pharmacist.
- Reminders are only an aid that you set up according to your doctor’s instructions. They may not arrive, for example if notifications or battery saver settings block them.
- The injection site overview only shows your history, for example which site is least recently used. Where to apply your medicine is determined by the patient leaflet and your doctor.
- AI meal recognition only shows an approximate estimate. Never use it to calculate insulin or other medicine doses.
Medicine information in the app
The Safety information screen and the notes on medicines contain selected warnings from the patient leaflets of medicines authorized in the EU, as published by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and national medicines authorities. They are the same for everyone and do not depend on your entries. They are not complete and do not replace your medicine’s patient leaflet. The date of the last content review is shown on the Safety information screen.
If you feel unwell
- In case of a sudden or serious health problem, call the emergency number 112 (or your local emergency number).
- If you suspect an overdose or poisoning, contact a doctor or your national poison control center.
Reporting side effects
You can report a suspected side effect of a medicine to your doctor or pharmacist, or directly to your national medicines authority. Dávka does not collect or report side effects.
Who Dávka is for
The app is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. If you have questions about the app, email us at podpora@davkapp.com. We do not provide medical advice.
